The Best Low-Calorie Party Drinks

Pina Colada Cooler

Bartenders around the world have made a few tweaks to the pina colada, so the drink is now suitable for a low-calorie diet.  According to an established dietitian, the pina colada is one of the most caloric drinks that you can consume.  This delicious party beverage has 640 calories, which is more than a big cheese burger.

To make this drink healthy, you will need three ounces of pineapple juice, a half ounce of coconut rum, four ounces of sparkling water, and one teaspoon on a drink mix called Coco Lopez of Coconut Lite.  You can find this drink mix at most supermarkets.

Blueberry Lemon Breeze

This delicious drink uses agave nectar to gain its sweet flavor.  Agave is helpful because it has a low glycemic index.  This means that it won’t increase your blood sugar levels.

This drink is made with 10 blueberries and three-fourth ounces of agave nectar.  Light agave nectar is sold at most Whole Foods stores.  You will also need one and a half cup of gin, three-fourth ounces of lemon juice, and about an ounce of champagne.

To make the cocktail, place the agave and the blueberries in a shaker and muddle them together.  Then, pour the lemon juice and the gin into the shaker and shake for 20 seconds.  Once combined, strain the drink into a fancy martini glass.  Before you serve it, top the drink with a bit of champagne and three blueberries.

Minosa Lite

A mimosa lite cocktail should be served at brunch time.  According to the American Dietetic Association, the drink is a good low-calorie option.

To prepare this drink, you will need two ounces of tangerine juice and four ounces of champagne.  The juice from a half orange is also required.

This drink must be served in a tall glass with ice cubes.  The juice from the orange goes into the glass first.  Then, pour the tangerine juice into the glass.  Finally, add the champagne and garnish with a few orange rinds.

Blended Raspberry Cocktail

The Blended Raspberry Cocktail is a summer drink.  It contains many fruity flavors that only contain a few calories.  If you serve this drink in tall glasses, your guests will request refills less often.

The Blended Raspberry Cocktail requires a half cup of ice cubes, eight ounces of raspberry juice, and one and a half ounces of vodka.  Each ingredient should be combined in a blender.  When you serve the drink, garnish it with fresh raspberries.

Strawberry-Citrus Vodka Cocktail

According to fitness experts, you should drink cocktails instead of mocktails if you plan to drink numerous drinks.  The Strawberry-Citrus Vodka Cocktail is a great party drink because you can modify the drink by adding a low-calorie soda.

This beverage requires two strawberries, one mint sprig, three-fourth ounces of agave nectar, three-fourth ounces of vodka or soda, and three-fourth ounces of lemon juice.

The strawberries and mint should be muddle together in a shaker.  Then, add the other ingredients into the shaker.  You must shake the components for at least 20 seconds.  Finally, pour the contents into a tall glass.

Skinny Wasaberita

A traditional Skinny Wasaberita is packed with calories.  However, by leaving out the Cointreau, the overall calorie count greatly reduces.  Although the Cointreau will be missing, wasabi power will give the drink a powerful punch.

To make this drink, you will need three-fourth ounces of lime juice, a teaspoon of wasabi power, one ounce of agave nectar, and one and three-fourth ounces of Tequila blanco.

Combine all the ingredients in the shaker and shake for 30 seconds.  This drink should be served with ice in a glass that has a salted rim.
